Each Crackle a Cosmic Decay

Driven by curiosity about Marie Curie’s laboratory, I entered this space in Paris one day. Countless empty and half-empty vessels stood there like silent witnesses to past experiments. I let the room sink into painterly inspiration.

It was Pitchblend - Uraninite - that dark rock which drove the scientist, under extreme physical conditions, to follow her instinct. Everything lives - even rock.

I integrated Uraninite into a sound installation. A deconstructed measuring instrument transforms the invisible nuclear decay inside the rock into sound.

The Visitor influences a radar mechanism by crossing the border which surrounds the nuclear matter.
